VOID Interactive pushed the v1.4.2 update for Ready or Not on 20th March 2026, the first patch to land since the Boiling Point release. If you've been running missions since that drop, this one is worth checking before your next deployment.

According to the official Steam patch notes, VOID acknowledged the community's response to Boiling Point directly, calling out the intensity of player reactions to what they're billing as the most tactically demanding suspects Los Sueños has seen so far. That's a decent bar to set, and the patch appears to follow up on feedback gathered since launch.

The source material is light on specifics beyond the opening address, so the full notes below will tell you exactly what got fixed, adjusted, or tuned. If Boiling Point introduced anything that felt off in your runs, this is the update to check.

Full patch notes below.

Attention Officers,

With the release of Boiling Point, all of us at VOID Interactive have thoroughly enjoyed seeing you gear up and deploy into this next chapter of Ready or Not. The reactions, the intensity, and seeing you experience the most tactical suspects Los Sueños has to offer have all been amazing.

While we're thrilled to have Boiling Point out to the public, we’ve also been working to address some of the issues we’ve observed since launch. We’ve tackled performance issues, crashes, lighting issues, and more.

Patch Day General FAQ:

  1. Q: ‘My game mods broke on PC with this update, why did that happen?’> A: When Ready or Not or games in general release updates to the game, the files for the game in areas related to new game content or fixes then changes. If mods were using the old files to function that have since changed to new files, those mods will likely need to update in order to work properly with the new version of the game’s files.Ready or Not Modding Update Tips: https://voidinteractive.net/community-resources/
  2. Q: ‘Why does a patch download initially seem frustratingly large in data/gigabytes, even when the game doesn’t actually take up that much more storage when the download finishes’> A: Game service platforms such as Steam etc. may update games by overwriting the game's files with the new files to replace it. For example, this means a update download that initially shows as 6GB during the download may actually only expand the game by 1GB in size, since it is largely just overwriting old game files for the other 5GB of data.
  3. Q: ‘Why does a patch take so long to download despite my fast internet’> A: Other routine checks that a game service platform does to confirm game file integrity on the local storage device (e.g. your hard drive such as a HDD or SSD) during a patch download can extend the perceived download size/time.
  4. Q: ‘Why didn’t my game update yet on my console platform?'> A: Console platforms do not necessarily support auto-updates, so you may have to trigger the update manually within your game library with an internet connection.

Thank you for all your support!
