Crimson Desert Goes Live Tomorrow at 6PM ET

Crimson Desert launches tomorrow, March 19, at 6PM ET, and if you've been following Pearl Abyss's long road from Black Desert Online developer to singleplayer action-RPG studio, that's a sentence worth sitting with for a second. This is the studio's first crack at a story-driven, singleplayer experience, and it's been a long time coming.

Pearl Abyss confirmed the global release times on its official website, and the launch is simultaneous worldwide across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. No staggered regional rollouts, no platform exclusivity windows. Here's when it goes live depending on where you are:

North America (West Coast): 3PM PDT, March 19 North America (East Coast): 6PM EDT, March 19 Brazil: 7PM BRT, March 19 UK: 10PM GMT, March 19 Western Europe: 11PM CET, March 19 Japan / Seoul / Tokyo: 7AM JST, March 20 Sydney: 9AM AEDT, March 20

If you pre-ordered, preload is already live. It went live 48 hours ahead of launch on March 17, so if you haven't kicked it off yet, now is the time. Pre-order buyers also get the Khaled Shield as a bonus item. The download is available across all three platforms simultaneously, which is exactly how it should work in 2026.

One thing worth flagging from Pearl Abyss's launch FAQ: Crimson Desert requires an internet connection to complete its initial setup, which means a day-one patch download before you can actually play. Factor that into your plans if you're aiming to jump in the moment the clock hits 6PM. A slow connection on launch night is nobody's idea of a good time.

What Crimson Desert Actually Is

For anyone who's been vaguely aware of the game but hasn't followed it closely, the short version is this: Pearl Abyss built its name on Black Desert Online, a visually impressive MMO that's been running since 2014. Crimson Desert is something different entirely. It's a singleplayer, story-driven action-adventure set in an open world called Pywel, and you play primarily as a character named Kliff, though two other playable characters are also in the mix. The world spans medieval cities, open grasslands, and desert environments, and Pearl Abyss has been pushing hard on the visual fidelity across all platforms.

The studio has been developing this one for years, and the anticipation around it has been real. Whether it delivers on that anticipation is something we'll all find out tomorrow night. Credit where it's due to Pearl Abyss for a clean, well-communicated launch rollout: simultaneous global release, preload live on schedule, timezone breakdown published clearly. That's not a low bar, but plenty of studios still manage to trip over it.

Set your alarms. 6PM ET tomorrow.
